Welcome to the Otago Embroiderers’ Guild.
Our Guild is made up of a diverse, creative and inspirational group of people, all having the common interest of stitch and expressing their passion for stitching both traditionally and in the contemporary forms.
The Guild has a monthly meeting – usually held in the fourth week of each month, as well as a weekly group workshop on a Thursday morning for those who cannot attend the monthly meetings. This Thursday group is quite informal but provides great support for all abilities of people who wish to stitch. There is also a project group which meets on the second Thursday evening of each month.
The Guild has reached a major milestone of 50 years in existence, and this is through the hard work of many past and present members. All members strive to keep the art of stitch alive through learning and passing on their knowledge to other members.
If you have the need to learn more about our Guild or wish to join us stitching, do not hesitate to contact us. We always welcome new members.
